Leopard Seal enjoying a rest on Eastbourne Beach, near Wellington, New
Zealand, on Saturday 21 August 2010. Leopard Seals usually inhabit the frigid waters of Antarctic and
sub-Antarctic waters, so they are seldom seen as far north as Wellington.
The above image is the original, and it was taken with the full frame 24.6 megapixel Sony
A900, using the Sony 70-300 G lens, with a focal length of 300mm, and
exposed at 1/250 second, F/13.
